On May 17, 2012, John Szakacs, a 47-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, was attacked and severely beaten. He was later taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on June 27, 2012. The incident took place in Cuyahoga County, and John, known by the nickname "Ponytail," sustained extensive injuries during the assault. He suffered broken ribs, a lacerated spleen, and multiple bruises, which ultimately led to his death over a month later.
