Death by Force

On May 17, 2013, Ivan Smith, a 17-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed. The incident took place at around 6:01 p.m. in the 1500 block of Aberdeen Avenue. Columbus Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a male victim who had been shot and was not breathing. Despite the rapid response, Smith was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
