On the evening of September 6, 2009, 23-year-old Brandon W. Robinson was found mortally wounded next to his motorcycle in the Morley Field area of Balboa Park, San Diego. At around 8:24 PM, a gunshot was reported by a nearby citizen. When officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found Brandon suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a trauma center, where he died later that night at approximately 12:41 AM. It was reported that Brandon had been attending a birthday party in the park when he was struck by a gunshot from an unknown assailant.
