On May 1, 2014, Shawn D. Boyd, a 22-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in an incident that took place in the area of East Livingston Avenue and Lonsdale Road. At approximately 12:55 p.m., Columbus police received reports of a shooting. Boyd was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was quickly transported to Grant Medical Center by emergency medical responders. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
