On January 20, 2015, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 16-year-old Zyshonne Jenkins was involved in a shooting near the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and Dellwood Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. During the incident, Jenkins was shot in the midsection in what was reported to be an exchange of gunfire with an unidentified individual.
