A young man is fatally shot near a playground On February 25, 2018, Martell Williams, age 22, was shot and killed near the playground area of the Stonegate Place apartment complex in Warren, Ohio. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at 1220 Roberts Avenue. Evidence suggests that Martell was ambushed by several suspects who were aware of his location and had possibly been in another resident's apartment before the attack. Witnesses reported that at least one suspect fled in a black four-door Nissan.
Despite investigative efforts, the case remains unsolved.
Authorities continue to appeal for information that could assist in solving Martell's homicide. The Warren Police Department, in collaboration with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, has kept the case open, seeking any leads that might help bring justice for Martell and closure to his family.
