On May 21, 2005, Rayburn Antonio Demarcus Simms, aged 30, was fatally shot in Durham, North Carolina. Early that morning, police responded to a single-car accident near the Oaks at Northgate Apartments on Broad Street. Simms, who was driving a green 2001 Chrysler Sebring, had been shot in the side, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and crash. Investigators believe the shooting took place on Leon Street, approximately two blocks from where the car was found. The vehicle was riddled with ...
