Nick Muñoz Alfaro, aged 54, was tragically killed in San Diego, California, on May 5, 2010. His death was part of a troubling wave of violent incidents in the city, which saw various cases of homicide throughout the decade. San Diego's homicide rates fluctuated during this period, with certain months being particularly deadly. Alfaro’s case fits into a broader trend where violent crimes have impacted the city’s Hispanic population, which has been disproportionately affected by homicides during this time.
