On June 9, 2007, 45-year-old Anthony Simpson was tragically killed in Charlotte, North Carolina. Simpson was shot while driving on the John Belk Freeway. Despite being critically injured, he continued to drive for about 2.5 miles before crashing his vehicle. Emergency services responded, but Simpson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
