Ja'Ron McGill, a 19-year-old resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on the night of August 2, 2009. The incident occurred near the intersection of Lanecrest Drive and Colby Place, where McGill was found by authorities after reports of gunfire. Despite the best efforts of paramedics on the scene, McGill was critically wounded and later succumbed to his injuries at Carolinas Medical Center in the early hours of August 3, 2009.
