On January 9, 2013, 18-year-old Lashaun Lamont Hunt was fatally shot outside the Town-N-Country convenience store in Durham, North Carolina. Hunt was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died from his injuries. His death marked the second homicide in Durham for that year.
