In the late afternoon of a Tuesday in Texas City, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace of a neighborhood on 9th Avenue North, near Highway 146. When police arrived shortly before 3 p.m., they discovered a grim scene with two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency services rushed both victims to local hospitals for treatment.
