On a tragic day in June of 2026, the life of 57-year-old Veronica Marie Gray was cut short in a remote area near Selma, Oregon. The initial report to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office on June 27th was fraught with confusion. A 911 caller, struggling with poor cell service, reported that a woman had been shot in the Deer Creek Road area.
