On the evening of May 28, 2026, Fernando Guerrero Taveras, a 74-year-old man, was fatally shot on the front porch of a home in the 5100 block of 3rd Street in the Cementon area of Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania. Emergency responders found him with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, leg, and chin, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lehigh County Coroner later ruled his death a homicide caused by the gunshot injuries.
