In the early hours of Saturday, May 30, 2026, the quiet of a Cleveland Heights neighborhood was shattered by violence. Inside a residence on Allston Road, 45-year-old Franklin Smith Jr. of Cleveland was discovered in an upstairs bedroom, suffering from a gunshot wound.
