On September 12, 2016, 34-year-old Larry Donnell Owens was shot and killed in Durham, North Carolina, near the 900 block of East Main Street. The shooting occurred in the evening, and Owens was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite initial investigations, it took nearly three years for significant developments in the case.
