In the small community of Mound Bayou, Mississippi, a life was tragically cut short on the evening of March 28, 2026. When deputies from the Bolivar County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene to assist the Mound Bayou Police
Department, they discovered Burns suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite any efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The sudden and violent nature of his death left loved ones to grapple with the profound loss of a young life.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, authorities launched an investigation that quickly led to a suspect.
