In what has been determined to be a murder-suicide, 41-year-old Dalana Charlot was killed on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Carencro, Louisiana. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office identified her estranged boyfriend, 33-year-old Raylon Wiltz, as the perpetrator.

Deputies responded to a shooting at a residence on Maggie Lane late in the evening. Upon arrival, they discovered both Charlot and Wiltz in the driveway with gunshot wounds. Charlot was pronounced dead at the scene. Wiltz was tran ...
