In January 2023, a violent encounter on a Buffalo street corner tragically cut short the life of 37-year-old Jermaine Underwood. On the morning of January 5th, at approximately 10:39 a.m., Underwood was on the 900 block of Kensington Avenue, near Olympic Avenue, when he was shot. The bustling city neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire, leaving one man dead and another wounded.
