In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the life of 48-year-old Corey Lamont Brown was tragically cut short in Ahoskie, North Carolina. A disagreement between Brown and another man escalated, resulting in Brown being fatally shot. The Ahoskie Police Department responded to a call at approximately 8:23 a.m. and discovered Brown deceased at a residence on West Rogers Street from an apparent gunshot wound.
