On a Sunday evening in Los Angeles, the life of 30-year-old Damon Neal, a Black male, was tragically cut short. The incident occurred on February 1, 2026, in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood, a community now marked by the violence of that night. Neal was standing outside an apartment building on the 2200 block of South Hobart Boulevard at approximately 8:10 p.m. when the fatal encounter unfolded.
Alongside a 19-year-old companion, Neal was ambushed in a sudden and brutal attack.
