In Horn Lake, Mississippi, a verbal and physical altercation on the evening of January 3, 2026, tragically escalated, leading to the death of 48-year-old Kevin Dewayne “Hoss” Durrett. The incident occurred in the 5800 block of Shannon Drive, where an initial dispute between Durrett and another man turned deadly. While not a participant in the original fight, 21-year-old Nathaniel Harvey allegedly fired a gun, striking Durrett in the back.
