On the night of Friday, November 28, 2025, law enforcement officials in Calhoun, Louisiana, were dispatched to a mobile home park located on Brownlee Road following reports of gunfire. Deputies with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene just before 10:00 p.m. to investigate the disturbance. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 29-year-old male, Nicholas Gabriel Jackson, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
Despite the response of emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the location, and detectives immediately launched an inquiry into the violent event that occurred shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday.
The investigation moved quickly as authorities worked to identify those responsible for the shooting. Through their inquiries, detectives identified four suspects linked to the homicide. The search for the perpetrators was successful, resulting in the arrests of Detric Latron Talton, Jr., Jeremiah Lee Jordan, Willie Cordell Lyons, Jr., and Quentin Jamal Garner. The Sheriff’s Office credited the assistance of the community as a significant factor in locating the individuals and bringing them into custody.
Following their apprehension, all four men were booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center. Each suspect was formally charged with one count of Second-Degree Murder and one count of Armed Robbery in connection with the death. The arrests marked a major development in the case, providing a resolution to the initial manhunt as the legal proceedings against the accused began.
