On December 12, 2025, police in St. Paul, Minnesota, discovered the body of 29-year-old Shaniya Thompson inside her apartment on the 500 block of Broadway Street in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood. Officers had been dispatched to the residence around 4:15 p.m. following a call from a family member concerned about her safety.
