After the shooting, investigators report that Scot Thompson fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to one of his brothers. A region-wide “be-on-the-lookout” alert was issued for the car, and officers from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Geneseo Police Department later located the vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop, taking him into custody without further incident. He was turned over to New York State Police at SP Amity, processed, and transported to the Allegany County Jail for arraignment.
