Jewel Harden, a 76-year-old Black woman, was killed on October 26, 2025, in a shooting inside the Sprint gas station on Edgefield Road in North Augusta, South Carolina. The Aiken County Coroner identified her as being from Hephzibah, Georgia, just across the river from North Augusta. Responding officers found Harden and another customer, 33-year-old Thomas B.
