In the autumn of 2025, a tragic event unfolded in Jefferson City, Missouri, leading to the death of 31-year-old Sofie Mulcahey. On October 7th, she and another woman, 39-year-old Shawna Davis, were shot while inside a vehicle in the 1100 block of Cordell Avenue. The vehicle subsequently crashed into a wooded area. Both women were critically injured and transported to University Hospital in Columbia, where they ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
