A Black female, Henderson was discovered deceased in her residence on Thomaston Road, the victim of a fatal shooting. On the morning of her death, Henderson had followed a routine familiar to her; she drove her husband to his job in Pell
City around 4:45 a.m. and is believed to have returned to her home shortly after 5:00 a.m. This was the last time she was known to be alive. Later that day, around 3:00 p.m., a call was made to the authorities, leading to the grim discovery at her home.
Despite their efforts, investigators have struggled to find those responsible for Henderson's death. The case has been met with a lack of leads and witnesses, leaving the police to turn to the public for assistance. In an effort to encourage individuals to come forward with any information they might have, Central Alabama CrimeStoppers has offered a $1,000 cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest. Authorities have stressed that anyone providing information can remain anonymous. While they have not disclosed many details about the ongoing investigation, police have indicated that they do not believe Henderson's death was the result of a random act of violence.
