In the fall of 2025, the quiet community of Peru, New York, was shaken by the tragic death of 25-year-old Chloe Henry, a beloved certified nursing assistant and mother. Her story unfolded after she was reported missing on October 19, 2025, having last been seen with her 33-year-old husband, Keith A. Henry. Concern quickly mounted among her family and friends when she didn't check in on her young children, an act they described as highly unusual for the doting mother.
Two days later, on
October 21, the search for Chloe came to a heartbreaking end when her body was discovered in a ditch in the town of Chazy, approximately 25 miles from where she was killed. An investigation by the New York State Police revealed that Chloe had been fatally shot inside her husband's vehicle in the town of Peru. An autopsy later confirmed that she died from gunshot wounds to the head and back, and her death was ruled a homicide.
The investigation swiftly led to the arrest of Keith A. Henry. He was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, as it is believed the couple's children were in the car at the time of the shooting. Prosecutors suggest there was a history of violence in their relationship. Keith Henry was arraigned in the Town of Peru Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail without bail.
Further investigation led to a second arrest in connection with Chloe's death. A friend of Keith Henry's, Heaven Dashnaw, was charged with five counts related to moving Chloe's body after she was killed. Authorities were able to implicate Dashnaw through interviews and GPS data from the cell phones of all three individuals.
