On December 12, 2004, the body of Elizabeth Gonzalez was found off Sandhill Road near Tome Hill in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Elizabeth had been shot and left for dead on a cold night. Her murder remains unsolved, despite ongoing investigations by the Valencia County Sheriff's Office and the New Mexico State Police Cold Case Homicide Unit.
