On the night of May 17, 2025, Larry Davis, 16, Black male, was found with a gunshot wound after Rocky Mount police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 500 block of Center Street just before 10:30 p.m. Officers and EMS rushed Larry Davis, 16, male, to UNC Nash Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
