On a Wednesday night in Wellford, South Carolina, a violent confrontation on Tanglewood Road ended the life of 32-year-old Dyshawn Lamar Moore. Emergency services responded to the scene and confirmed Moore's death shortly after 9:45 p.m. on September 3, 2025, as a result of a shooting.
Following the incident, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office began an investigation that led them to identify Jaquavias Raeshun Moses, 29, as a suspect in the homicide.
A public appeal was made for assistance in locating Moses, who was considered to be armed and dangerous.
In a significant development, Jaquavias Raeshun Moses surrendered to law enforcement. He has since been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with Dyshawn Lamar Moore's death. At a subsequent bond hearing, Moses was denied bond and remains in custody awaiting his court appearance, which is scheduled for November 13.
