A man dies as a result of arson
On October 24, 1978, Ray Blanchette, age 51, tragically died in a fire at an apartment building located at 541-547 Chestnut Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. He, along with 53-year-old Pauline Miller, was found to have died from smoke inhalation. The fire was later determined to be an act of arson, making their deaths part of a criminal investigation. Despite the gravity of the case, no suspects were identified, and the case remains unsolved.
