In the small town of Antlers, Oklahoma, the life of 19-year-old Kaden Ray Neese was cut short in a tragic and violent incident. In the early morning hours, just before 2 a.m., officers from the Antlers Police Department were dispatched to a residence near Northwest C Street and Northwest Fifth Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Kaden, who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist
with the homicide investigation. The community was left in shock and mourning over the loss of the young man. A suspect was later arrested in connection with the shooting, bringing a small measure of hope for justice to a grieving family and community.
Kaden, who was born in McAlester, Oklahoma, was remembered as a kind and adventurous soul with a deep love for the outdoors. He was a graduate of Moyers High School and had earned a welding certificate from the Kiamichi Technology Center. He put his skills to use as a cattle hand at the Paris, Texas sale barn, a job he took great pride in. His passions included fishing, especially for catfish and bass, and spending time with his loved ones. He was known for his warm personality and his willingness to help others, leaving behind a legacy of joy and cherished memories for those who knew him.
