Joseph Brandenburg, 48, a man from Dayton, was shot multiple times on the evening of August 13, 2025, after police were dispatched to the first block of Lombard Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Officers found him critically wounded at the scene; he was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
