Anita Crandall, 69, a White female from Grafton, New York, died on June 18, 2025, during a shooting at a family home on South Road. That evening, a 911 call came from inside the residence reporting an altercation; dispatchers then heard gunfire. Responding troopers encountered an armed individual who briefly confronted them outside before being taken into custody. Inside and around the home, police found three family members fatally shot, including Crandall.
