On a late Thursday night in Lebanon, Missouri, the life of 21-year-old Reagan Lynn Wilson was tragically cut short. On June 5, 2025, police responded to a call of a shooting at a residence in the 700 block of North Adams Avenue just before midnight. Inside, they discovered Reagan with grave gunshot wounds. At the time of the violent attack, she was pregnant.
Reagan was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead in the early hours of June 6, 2025.
In a desperate attempt to save her child, doctors delivered the baby boy, who was named Silas Quinn Wilson. For a brief time, there was a glimmer of hope, but the infant succumbed to his injuries on June 13, 2025, having suffered from a lack of oxygen and blood flow to his brain. The community mourned the loss of the young mother, who had a passion for healthcare and dreamed of becoming a registered nurse, and her newborn son.
The investigation into the double homicide continued for nearly two months. Detectives from the Lebanon Police Department, with assistance from multiple state and federal agencies, diligently followed leads. Their investigation led them to Sidney Fredrick Wilson V, Reagan's 25-year-old estranged husband. According to reports, the couple's relationship had been strained since they separated in December 2024. Investigators uncovered that just hours before the shooting, Sidney had received a message on Facebook asking him to stay away from Reagan, which he admitted had upset him.
On July 31, 2025, authorities arrested Sidney Fredrick Wilson V. He was subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Reagan and Silas, as well as armed criminal action. He is being held in the Laclede County Jail without bond. The investigation revealed that Sidney owned a firearm consistent with the weapon used in the killings, though he claimed to have sold it prior to the incident. Authorities also noted that he had visited the hospital where baby Silas was being treated in the days following the shooting. The case is now awaiting trial.
