On the afternoon of September 17, 2025, Cotrevion Miller-Bridgeman, age 15, a male from Benton Harbor, was struck by gunfire on Buss Avenue near South Fair Avenue. Officers with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety found the 15-year-old wounded and began the chain of care that would carry him from Corewell Health in St. Joseph to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
