Kristina Marie Ortiz, 37, a Hispanic/Latina woman, was shot to death on the evening of June 7, 2025, on South Bend’s southeast side near Southeast Neighborhood Park in the 500 block of Wenger Street. Officers responded around 8 p.m. and found Kristina Marie Ortiz, 37, female, with a fatal head wound; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
