Wesley Brown, 45, a Black man from Compton, was shot around midday in the unincorporated Willowbrook area of Los Angeles County on August 9, 2025. Deputies responded at about 12:20 p.m. to the 100 block of West El Segundo Boulevard near Main Street, where Brown was struck by gunfire. He was rushed by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead the same day.
