On August 28, 2025, 25-year-old male Brandon Wamley—known in South Florida’s rap scene as Wam SpinThaBin—was shot in Hallandale Beach after a ShotSpotter alert drew officers to the 500 block of Northwest Sixth Avenue. Responding police found the 25-year-old wounded; he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died. Authorities described the shooting as an isolated incident.
