On August 20, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, Robert Amaya, a 57-year-old Latino male, was found dead at his residence from a gunshot wound to the chest. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified him and recorded the death as a suicide, with a formal pronouncement made on a Wednesday and case number 2025-13306.
