Jose Gomez, 35, a Latino male, was found dead at his Los Angeles residence on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified him and recorded his manner of death as suicide, the cause a gunshot wound to the head. The formal pronouncement came that Wednesday, closing a day that began like any other but ended with the county tallying another life lost, this one outside the realm of criminal investigation.
