Dyrontae C. Booker, a 21-year-old Black male, set out for a house party in Bay Minette on the night of May 23, 2025, unaware of how quickly the celebration would fracture into chaos. Around 10:20 p.m., a Bay Minette police officer on routine patrol near the 900 block of Daphne Road heard gunfire, sprinted toward the sound, and briefly glimpsed a man racing away into the dark.
