Adrian Abrego-Gonzalez, a 47-year-old Hispanic/Latino man working as an apartment maintenance employee, was shot and killed just after midday on May 28, 2010, while repairing a window at the Village at Karen Apartments in Las Vegas. He and a co-worker were on the job when they came upon five men who appeared to be in the midst of a burglary at the complex along East Sahara Avenue between Lamb and Nellis boulevards.
