On August 21, 1976, the body of 21-year-old white female Enid Marie Branch was discovered on a deserted dirt road in Hillsborough County, Florida. She had been shot multiple times in the face. Enid, a mother to a four-year-old son, was pursuing studies in refrigerator repair at a trade school in Tampa. To support herself, she worked at night as a sex worker.
