Luis Alvarez, a 26-year-old Hispanic male, was one of the victims in a chilling series of murders that plagued Los Angeles between October 1978 and January 1979. His death occurred on January 21, 1979, during a spree attributed to a serial killer later dubbed the “Skid Row Stabber.” The killings primarily targeted homeless men and transients in the downtown Los Angeles area, with victims often found stabbed to death in alleys, parking lots, or behind buildings.
