Pamela Dianne Duffey, a 21-year-old Caucasian woman, was found deceased in a shallow grave in the Mojave Desert near Ludlow, California, in November 1980. Her remains were discovered alongside those of William Everette Lane, a 20-year-old male. Both victims had suffered gunshot wounds and blunt force trauma, and their bodies were unclothed. Investigators estimated that they had been buried for six to eight months before their discovery.
