On the evening of March 5, 2025, Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 2600 block of The Mall. Upon arrival, officers discovered 45-year-old African American woman Zanthia Harris suffering from gunshot wounds inside an apartment. A pistol was found on the ground next to her.
