Jahfari Joseph, a 40-year-old man from Peru, NY, was reported missing on December 29, 2024. Authorities launched an investigation into his disappearance, which led them to a residence on Fuller Road in Peru. The property belonged to the ex-wife of Timothy Timmons, a 61-year-old man from Plattsburgh, NY. Investigators suspected that Joseph may have had a disagreement with someone in the Timmons family prior to his disappearance.
